Total Clean Services Ltd has accreditations and memberships of the following organisations. These require adherence to strict codes of practice and we are subject to external audits to check compliance. Total Clean Ltd are currently ISO 9001 Accredited and recognised by The British Institute of Cleaning Science.

	ISO 9001
	Our quality management systems have been accredited to ISO standard for many years. They are regularly audited and have been developed to suit the changing needs of the company and its clients. This is important in intergrating our performance with clients quality systems.A focus on quality is important in sustaining long term business success and opportunity. Certification to the internationally recognised quality management system (QMS) standard, ISO 9001 gives clear demonstration of our commitment to quality. ISO 9001 has become the international reference for quality requirements with certification, the preferred solution for over half a million organisations in 159 countries. Its focus on processes and customer satisfaction rather than procedures means it is equally applicable to service providers as manufacturers with greater emphasis on customer satisfaction, process management and measurement, continual improvement with greater top management involvement. There are numerous benefits associated with a certified ISO 9001 management system: improved product, process and service quality increased customer satisfaction levels improved productivity, less waste may provide competitive advantage Background to the ISO 9000 family ISO 9000 is the generic name given to the family of standards around which a QMS can be implemented. These consist of: ISO 9000:2000 Quality management systems - Fundamentals and vocabulary ISO 9001:2000 Quality management system - Requirements ISO 9004:2000 Quality management system - Guidelines for performance improvement. The standard was revised in 2000 and was developed using a core set of eight quality management principles which act as a common foundation for all standards relating to quality management: customer focus leadership the involvement of people a process approach a system approach to management continual improvement a factual approach to decision making mutually beneficial supplier relationship
	BICSc
	The British Institute of Cleaning Science is a champion of progress within the cleaning industry and Total Clean is proud to be a registered corporate member of the institute thus adopting its strict code of practice. The 'standard' considers the results of a task being performed and is categorised into three definitions for each task - Acceptable/Acceptable between tasks/Unacceptable. Thus taking into consideration an achievable result when tasks are performed within the frequencies indicated in each category. The prime driver for all frequencies calculated has been conformance to the UK Health and Safety Legislation. Further, it was decided to establish an average productivity rating (the amount of area covered by one operative in one hour based against the individual specifications)
